Event Management Association of Assam (EMAA)

As a professional body representing the event industry in Assam and the Northeast, EMAA is committed to maintaining the highest standards of integrity, excellence, and ethical conduct. All members and associates are expected to uphold the following principles:

Professional Integrity
  • Conduct all business activities with honesty, transparency, and fairness.
  • Avoid any form of misrepresentation, fraudulent activity, or unethical practice.
  • Honor all contractual obligations and commitments made to clients, vendors, and partners.
Quality and Excellence
  • Strive for the highest standards of quality, creativity, and professionalism in every event.
  • Continuously upgrade skills, adopt innovations, and implement industry best practices.
Respect and Inclusivity
  • Treat all clients, team members, partners, and guests with respect and dignity.
  • Promote a safe, inclusive, and non-discriminatory work environment.
Collaboration and Fair Competition
  • Foster a spirit of collaboration among members while encouraging healthy, fair competition.
  • Refrain from undercutting, defamation, or attempting to damage another member’s reputation or business.
Responsible Use of Resources
  • Ensure responsible use of materials, manpower, and public spaces.
  • Follow all government guidelines, safety protocols, and environmental regulations during event execution.
Confidentiality
  • Respect the confidentiality of proprietary or sensitive information obtained through business dealings.
  • Do not disclose or misuse such information without proper authorization.
Commitment to the Industry
  • Actively contribute to the growth and positive image of the event industry in Assam and the Northeast.
  • Participate in EMAA programs, support community initiatives, and mentor emerging professionals.
Compliance with Laws
  • Abide by all local, state, and national laws and regulations related to events, employment, taxation, safety, and licensing.

Any breach of this Code of Conduct may result in disciplinary action, including suspension or termination of membership, as per EMAA’s internal regulations.
